5 years, an ideal age to begin

It maybe interesting to make sensitive a child in the music between 2 and 5 years in a lesson of musical awakening, however, A child finds all his potential for the music from 5 years. It is thus the ideal minimum age to begin seriously

If 5 years is an ideal minimum age to begin, there is really no maximum age limit to begin. We can begin at any age.

To learn the piano without solfege, it is possible

It is completely possible to learn the piano and the reading of notes at the same time as the practice of the instrument. It is necessary to forget this fear of the reading of notes. By practising regularly the instrument, we learn to read notes in a natural and progressive way, without too much difficulty.

Play what we like to progress better

I always thought, and I observe it for a very long time current that the biggest progress, the most effective, is obtained when we like what we play. That is why I attach a particular importance not to prevent my pupils from choosing the musics which they prefer. The technical and educational work which is made rest about the same. It is enough to adapt the pedagogy to the preferences and to the tastes and to the personality of the pupil.

My route, my formation

Having made a formation in piano, solfege, theory of the music and musical analysis, on a dozen years, I was very fast lucky to work, with concert performers of very high level such as Henri Barda, Geneviève Ibanez, and Hatsumi Takato. It is in 2000, that I finish my formation in piano, with the obtaining of a gold medal at the City of Paris.
